Rail Europe is eyeing up to 22 per cent growth in passenger bookings from India this year at about 3,19,988.
"With the growth in the country's economy, the spending power has also increased giving rise to overseas travelling. We have been witnessing a constant growth of about 18-25 per cent since last four years. This year also we expect it to grow in similar range of 18-22 per cent," Rail Europe India Executive Director Kunal Kothari told PTI.
In 2011, 2,62,285 people from India booked passes and point-to-point tickets for rail travel around Europe, he said.
Of the total global ticket sales of the company, India contributed around 10 per cent. The global 4A segment sales of the company in 2011 stood at 138 million Euros.
