RAK Airways suspends its operations from January 1

The airline has assured passengers who have made bookings with it that they will be re-booked on an alternative airline or receive full refund for any payments made

United Arab Emirate’s RAK Airways has announced the suspension of all operations starting January 1, 2014 and until further notice. In a written statement, the Airline stated that the decision has been taken following increased pressures on the carrier’s performance due to continuous market conditions, increased operating costs and the impact of the regional political instability on the overall aviation industry.

IATA Agents Association of India has informed all the IATA Accredited Agents of India regarding the same. RAK Airways current network included flights from RAK International Airport to Doha, Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore, Jeddah, Riyadh, Calicut and Kathmandu.
