Europe has always attracted travelers with its rich culture, architecture, fantastic food and stunning landscapes. The latest Hotel Price Index (HPI) report by Hotels.com the smart and simple way to book hotels, reveals pleasant surprises for travelers planning their holidays this summer. According to the report, some popular destinations in Europe have witnessed a fall in hotel prices giving travelers one more reason to visit this magnificent continent.

In Italy, Milan which is amongst the leading fashion capitals of the world has witnessed a 7% fall in hotel room rates with the average price dropping to 8,081 INR. Also, the city of Florence, known for its art, palaces and museums has shown a 2% drop in room rates, falling to the average price of 8,494 INR. Apart from Italy, other European destinations such as Munich, one of the cultural centers of the continent has experienced a 12% fall in average room rates to 7,477 INR. Vienna, the capital city of Austria has witnessed a 13% fall in average room rates to 6,509 INR.

There is more joy for globe trotters, as a number of other popular destinations have shown price falls in hotel rooms. The big apple city of New York is down 8% to 10,707 INR and Las Vegas is down 7% to 5,742 INR. In China, the average room rate has experienced a fall in 3 cities with Beijing down to 6% to 4,375 INR, Guangzhou down 22% to 3,988 INR and Shanghai down 32% to 4,266 INR.
