Plan to develop a tourism hub in Jharkhand proposed

The businessmen in Jharkhand have thought of a unique tourism development project Jharkhand Darshnam. The industrial body said they have charted out a comprehensive plan to develop a new circuit for tourism which, they claim, would attract thousands of tourists from across the world. The project would be developed in a forest area of the state and would showcase the rich tribal culture and heritage to the guests.

A delegation of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJon Wednesday called upon state tourism minister Suresh Paswan and intimated to him about their plans. "It is a very attractive plan and I am interested," said Paswan.

According to the plan FJCCI along with the tourism department would develop 400 hectares of forest land into a tourism hub. The department prefers that the plot be in the heart of the tribal habitation. On the forest land the department would develop cottages where tourists can stay and enjoy cultural activities.

The infrastructure of this spot would be developed in such a manner that the flora and fauna would not be disturbed. This place would also have tourism highlights of various districts and the state. It would have detailed history of Jharkhand during pre and post separation period from Bihar as per a TOI report.

"The plans have been developed in consultation with tourism experts. It would work wonderfully once it is implemented," said FJCCI president Ranjit Tibrewal. The plans have already attracted the state's tourism principal secretary Sajjal Chakraborty.
