Punjab National Bank (PNB) has said it will focus on the economic activities of Self Help Groups (SHGs), tourism, agriculture and dairy sectors as per a PTI report.
"PNB has presence in 20 out of 22 districts (in J&K). We are focusing on and will support dairy schemes, SHGs for empowerment of women, tourism sector and agriculture in the state", PNB Chairman and Managing Director R K Kamath told reporters.
The bank already has saving fund linked 291 SHGs in Jammu circle, out of which credit linkage has been done in 261 cases, he added.
