The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has launched a series of webinars for 2012 that will tackle topics such as crisis management, social media, sustainability, and cross-cultural training.
PATA has secured world-leading sustainability program EarthCheck to conduct the series for them. EarthCheck’s Manager - Sustainability Capacity Building, Josh Sattler, will lead the six-part series.
This first module on Wed 15 February at 1pm BKK time will focus on policy, and will highlight the development and requirements of a good sustainability procedure for organisations who know it’s a good idea but don’t really know where to start. This can fit in with existing procedures and practices in the workplace. A big added bonus is the identification of cost reduction areas, as well as attracting customers looking for greener travel experiences.
The webinars are free to PATA members and US$100 to non-members. To sign up, visit https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/927833934
For the sustainability webinars the schedule and topics are as follows:
February 15: Policy and Procedures
May 30: Risk Assessment
June 20: Measurement
July 11: Action
August 8: How to Implement Sustainable Change
September 5: Evaluation and Monitoring
