The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA). The objective of the MoU is to enhance cooperation in the sharing of research, intelligence, information and the carrying out of joint lobbying and policy development activities.
The MoU was signed by Mr Bill Calderwood, PATA Interim CEO, and Mr Tom Jenkins, Executive Director, ETOA and comes into effect today. The MoU offers the two associations’ reciprocal arrangements in sharing data and the results of their studies, reports and surveys. The MoU will also facilitate lobbying activities for the benefits of the both organisations’ members.
Mr Calderwood said: “Both PATA and ETOA will start to work together in pursuit of our shared interests. We’re seeking to minimise the obstacles to two-way growth between Asia Pacific and Europe.”
