Over Rs 150 crore released for tourism development in J&K

The government has released Rs 157.37 crore to 20 Development Authorities for development of tourist related infrastructure in the state

Jammu and Kashmir government has said that it has released over Rs 150 crore to 20 Development Authorities for development of tourism-related infrastructure in the state during the last two fiscals. 

Replying to a question of JKNPP MLA Yash Paul Kundal in the Assembly, Tourism Minister G A Mir said the government has released Rs 157.37 crore to 20 Development Authorities for development of tourist related infrastructure in the state during the last two fiscals under state and Central plans. 

He said Rs 1.05 crore has been expended on various tourism-related works in Samba Constituency through Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority in the last fiscal and up to January of current financial year. 

Another Rs 1.74 crore was utilized by the Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority during the same period in Ramnagar constituency, he said.
