At the close of the “Norman World Tour in 80 days” contest, organized by the Town of Deauville for the 1100 th Anniversary of Normandy, Jérémy Bonnet took off on Friday the 15 of July from Deauville-Normandie airport for 80 days of adventures looking for expatriate Norman people.

His journey will lead him to visit twenty countries through the five continents. This new Viking saga from the 21 Century, aim at showing how the Norman identity and its conquering spirit express itself throughout the world. It is not only all about suggesting an initiator experience to a young Norman, but also to shorten the distances for the 1100 st Anniversary celebrations: enabling the expatriate Norman people to get involved through the web, and showing the Deauville and Normandy image out of the regional border.

To do therefore, Jérémy Bonnet runs a log book and publishes several times a week on deauville.fr and on Deauville Facebook page some photographs, videos or sounds, tracks of Norman culture abroad. His aim is to leave total space to the essentials: to grab the reality and the everyday life of expatriate Norman people, to share and show how they export their know-how and inter-personal skills.

This event is supported by the region of Lower-Normandy within the framework of the Happy Birthday Normandy Label.
