The new domestic terminal of Chennai airport was opened for operations with arrivals on Thursday and 93 passengers of a Port Blair-Chennai Go Air flight walked out at 1.15pm.

The passengers were surprised and delighted to land at a clean and snazzy terminal. 

One flight was handled today while arrivals of Go Air and SpiceJet will be received at the new building on Friday. Jet Airways will move in on Saturday.

Senior officials of AAI and airlines supervised the operations.
