The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (museum), a heritage property has got a Rs 4 crore facelift besides added amenities for the tourists.

This museum gets about 2000 visitors daily mainly domestic and international tourists besides students. The children's centre will have other activities as well for the tourists and a formal inauguration of the new facilities will happen by this month end.

The reconstruction of the museum is as per the upgrade plan initiated in phases for which the union government has provided Rs 24 crore and Rs 1 crore by a leading stockbroker.
