In a bid to propagate and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the state, Uttarakhand government today released a sum of Rs 11 crore for the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
In the past four years, the Uttarakhand government has released a total sum of Rs 45 crore towards the cultural activities in the state, Cultural Affairs Minister Vijaya Barthwal said.
Barthwal mentioned that a multifaceted Himalayan Museum will soon come up in Rishikesh. Further, she said that she has also issued directives to officials for proper maintenance of all the temples in the state.
