Visakhapatnam is all set to get a boost on the tourism front with the Union tourism ministry allotting nearly Rs 1,000 crore for various projects, minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said on Tuesday.
In a release, the minister said the news was disclosed to him by Union tourism minister K Chiranjeevi whom he had met in New Delhi recently.
Elaborating on it, Ganta said around Rs 300 crore had been approved for an international convention centre at Mudasarlova, Rs 50 crore for a traditional health city (Arogyadham), Rs 300 crore for a multi-theme park at Madhurawada, Rs 100 crore for a science and entertainment city at Kapuluppada and Rs 100 crore for the 'seven wonders of the world' project at Endada.
