MakeMyTrip in association with the Tourism Ministry of Maldives is going to launch special charter flight packages from Mumbai to Gan, southern part of Maldives from October 2, 2010 to February 2011.

Toyyid Mohammad, Tourism Minister, Maldives said that India is a potential market, but the government here has not been able to make arrangements for promoting the country among Indians. “With Maldives hosting the next SAARC Summit in 2011, we hope to draw in a large number of tourists,” said Mohammad, adding that, the tourism sector can help give a boost to people-to-people relations between the two countries.
