Maharashtra government to spend over Rs 180 crores to develop pilgrim tourism 

Development of Shreekshetra, Dehu, Alandi, Pansharpur and Palkhital along with Shree Gajanan Maharaj,  Shreeshetra Mjhari & Mahalaxmi temple planned.

Maharashtra government has proposed an outlay of Rs 85 crore for the special action plan for the development of pilgrim centres like Shreekshetra, Dehu, Alandi, Pansharpur and Palkhital.

It is also proposing Rs 55 crore for Shree Gajanan Maharaj and Rs 25 core for Shreeshetra Mjhari. Mahalaxmi temple at Kolhapur also has got Rs 10 crore for development work.
