The state tourism department has appointed two agencies to study and design a comprehensive tourism plan for Mumbai. The plan, aimed at exploring the city's tourism potential, will be tabled before the state government within 30 days.
"Mumbai has tremendous tourism potential. But compiled information about the city is not available. To make the city more tourist-friendly, the department has appointed the agencies to prepare a detailed report," said state tourism minister Chhagan Bhujbal at the inauguration of the state's tourism magazine in Mantralaya on Friday.
