Inaugurating the first air taxi service of Madhya Pradesh, Chouhan said that he was not satisfied with the marketing efforts of the MP tourism department and would pitch in to sell the state's tourist attractions as per a report in TOI by Deshdeep Saxena.

On the tourism centres of the state, he said MP has every thing - enchanting national parks including the world famous Kanha and Bandhavgarh, international heritage sites like Khajuraho, Bhimbethaka and Sanchi and the abode of God in Ujjain, Omkareshwer, Chamunda and Orchcha.

There are also beautiful places like Mandu. "What we need is proper marketing and I myself will handle it," he emphasized. Initially the four metro cities of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior have been connected with air taxi.

The CM inaugurated the service from Bhopal's Raja Bhoj airport, which has recently been upgraded as international airport for direct flights for Haj pilgrims. The air taxi is a joint venture of Ventura Air Connect Private Limited and Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. Ventura chairman Pradeep Agrawal said that soon the nine-seaters would be upgraded to 18 seat aircraft. He also told the gathering that brand new planes would be put into service as air taxis for the passengers of Madhya Pradesh.
