MTDC organising Kokan Alphonso tourism festival from April 11 to June 9

During this festival the tourists will stay for two days at farmers houses in the lap of Sahyadri and for another two days at a sea shore - a concept called 'Uttung Kokan to Athang Sagar'

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) in association with Kokan Green will soon organise a ‘Kokan Alphonso tourism festival’ at Kokan from April 11 to June 9.

The Kokan Alphonso tourism festival will educate visitors about the varieties of mangoes grown in Kokan. The festival will feature varieties and cultivators of mangoes for visitors to view and taste.

Jagdish Patil, Managing Director of MTDC, said, “This festival will give an opportunity to mango growers to participate in an interactive platform. This festival is expected to generate interest from various sections of society and offer the space to create a huge market for locals and the tourism sector service providers. MTDC has been weaving festivals around the marvels of Maharashtra to create knowledge about the assortment of destinations amongst national and global tourists.”

During the ‘Kokan Alphonso tourism festival’ conducted tours of four days have been arranged in the Kokan areas.
