A 20 percent concession has been declared by The Maharashtra Tourism and Development Corporation (MTDC) for a stay across any of its properties in the State for students.
In a bid to encourage schools to promote educational and recreational tours, MTDC has announced a discount for school children aged between 6 and 14 years. The discounts will be on stay at its properties when schools take their students for recreational trips. The concession will be extended as a special case for accommodating four occupants in a double occupancy room with no extra charge for the bedding. However, other necessities like food and drinks will be charged normally.
“The occupancy rates at the MTDC properties are generally very high. Therefore, we have decided to provide discounts on week-days (Monday to Friday) for trips being organised by schools for the students. This will enable the students to learn about Maharashtra’s geography, culture and at the same time reduce the cost burden of the stay. We are sure that the schools will take maximum advantage of this offer,” said Dr Jagdish Patil, Managing Director, MTDC.
The school administration may contact the respective managements across MTDC properties in the State for advance booking and avail of the discounts.
