German carrier Lufthansa today announced discontinuation of its Hyderabad-Frankfurt flight from October-end, but said it would upgrade cargo operations and continue to invest in the aviation facilities there.
"Lufthansa confirms that its thrice weekly direct passenger flight between Hyderabad and Frankfurt will be discontinued in the upcoming winter 2011-12 flight schedule", an airline spokesperson said.
The present Frankfurt-Hyderabad service would remain available until October 30. Earlier, the sector was operated five days a week which was later brought down to three.
