Korea Tourism appoints New Director for India

Registers Impressive Growth in India, plans FAM trips & road shows for 2011

Korea Tourism organization has announced the appointment of Mr. Jae-Sang, Lee as the director of Korea Tourism Organization in India. In his new role, he will be responsible for branding and promoting Korea as well as developing new tourist products for the Indian market.

He will be also in charge of building and strengthening the relationship between the travel trade in India and Korea. In his last assignment he was responsible for Presidential Committee of G20 Seoul Summit 2010.

KTO has also announced a high growth of Indian arrivals to South Korea. In terms of visitor’s arrivals, Korea welcomed an increase of 19% visitors from India by December 2010 as compared to 2009. The tourist arrivals are expected to grow further this yearwith increased promotions and connectivity.
