Kerala Tourism to install signboards to help tourists navigate easily around its cities

The National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (NATPAC) has decided to install retro-reflective tourism signboards across Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kasaragod and Kannur districts.  The project will be carried out by NATPAC in association with the tourism department.

The state government has earmarked Rs 1.36 crore for installing the signboards. According to officials, Malabar will get 733 new signboards under the project, which is being implemented as part of the state wide installation of retro-reflective sign boards as per a TOI report.

Similarly, the southern region comprising Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta districts and central Kerala covering Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad districts will also get more signboards for which the state government has earmarked Rs 1.03 crore and Rs 1.5crore, respectively.
