Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced that its chairman for South Asia, K.B. Kachru, has received the Hall of Fame - Lifetime Contribution in Hospitality Award from the from the International Council of Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA).
"This award is a tremendous honor and I am grateful for the recognition. Hospitality has been a lifelong passion and I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to realize my goals alongside the vision and support of Carlson Rezidor. Receiving this accolade after more than three decades of working with the best and the brightest in the industry is an unexpected bonus," said K.B. Kachru, who was appointed as chairman, South Asia, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group on July 1, 2013 after serving eight years as executive vice president.
He was credited for playing a leading role in Carlson Rezidor's business in India over the past 15 years and establishing it as India's largest international hotel company. Prior to joining Carlson Rezidor, Kachru oversaw the hotel business of India Tourism Development Corporation and assumed several other roles including heading Ashok Group of Hotels and the Duty Free outlets in all international airports in India.
