All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association (AJHLA) has welcomed the state government decision to revise package of incentives for the tourism industry in the state and extend the same till 2014.
"We hail the cabinet decision to revise package of incentives to the tourism industry in the state and extend the same till 2014", AJHLA President Inderjeet Khajuria said at a meeting of hoteliers associations here today.
"We also welcome the extension of the incentive package to new areas, thus making the same available to tourism retaliated trades in any part of the state", he said. Khajuria said that they had been for long demanding deletion of the negative list from the incentives provided to the tourism industry in the state.
In the original order Jammu city, Katra town and Patnitop in Jammu region and Srinagar city, Gulmarg and Pahalgam in Kashmir valley were kept in the negative list and the incentives available for making investments on creating additional infrastructure and on renovation of existing establishments was not available for these places kept in the negative list, he said.
