The long wait of people of the state capital and tourists willing to visit scenic waterfalls and historic temples at an affordable price has become a reality.

Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation (JTDC), along with a private company, Wheels Travels, has started sightseeing service for tourists. The tourists will leave for various destinations according to their choice in morning and return the same evening.

According to Wheels Travels director R K Chaudhary, the buses leave daily for various destinations around Ranchi and return in the evening. The corporation has provided vehicles to the company. "There was demand for sightseeing by local people as well as tourists since it was not feasible for everyone to book a taxi and visit these places. In case a tourist was alone then it was an expensive affair for him to hire a vehicle. After reviewing the demands, JTDC decided to start the service," said Chaudhary.

He claimed that the rates per tourist for each circuit are very affordable it ranges from Rs 110 to Rs 300. The spots covered almost all the waterfalls, including Hundru, Jonha, Sita, Hirni, Panchgagh, Ghaghari and Dasham. The temples include Deori, Rajrappa, Sai Dham and Sun Temple. "Apart from these places, we also have an option for visiting Birsa Munda Zoological Park and Crocodile Park," Chaudhary added.
