To give boost to the tourism industry in the state, the government has decided to launch deluxe bus services in different tourist destinations soon to bring comfort to visitors. As per reports in TOI, Tourism Minister Bimla Pradhan announced on 16th January the launch of luxury tourist buses, developing religious places, setting up hotels, opening information kiosk and installing hoarding in railway stations and bus stands across the state. The department is also working to explore possibilities of mine tourism in the state.
Pradhan said his department had taken an initiative to develop basic amenities like good roads, uninterrupted electricity and water facilities in tourist spots. "We are coming up with hotel projects and presently setting up a state-of-art Q Complex, which comprises residential rooms for pilgrims, with 38 crores in Deoghar on bank of the Shivganga river," she said.
To make people aware of the popular tourist places in the state, the department will hang banners, posters and hoardings in the coming National Games. Talking to mediapersons at the Circuit House on her visit, Pradhan said the tourism department was taking an initiative to launch Volvo buses for tourists in coming few months. "It will help organizing tours to beautiful places in state. The buses will be purchased by private carriers and will run in collaboration with the department to different tourist spots including national park, wildlife sanctuaries, Rajrappa temple, Deoghar, etc. However, the department is soon going to start one-day package tour for the tourists from Ranchi.
