Japanese make the most of the Visa on Arrival scheme to India

Last month, a total number of 1457 (Visa on Arrivals) VoAs were issued under VoA Scheme as compared to 1234 VoAs during October 2011 registering a positive growth of 18.1 %.

During the period January-October 2012, a total number of 12273 VoAs were issued as compared to 9739 VoAs during the corresponding period of 2011, registering a growth of 26 %.

The number of VOAs issued under this scheme during October this year for nationals of the eleven countries were Japan (372), New Zealand (301),The Philippines (270), Indonesia (198), Singapore (198), Finland (77), Myanmar (3), Vietnam (16), Cambodia (6),Luxembourg (16) and Laos (0).

The number of VoAs issued under this scheme, during January-October 2012 were Japan (3478), New Zealand (2346), Indonesia (1887), The Philippines (1948), Singapore (1511), Finland (724), Vietnam (142), Myanmar (76), Cambodia (74), Luxembourg (78) and Laos (0). During the period January-October 2012, the highest number of VoAs were issued at Delhi airport (7264), followed by Mumbai (2553), Chennai (1726) and Kolkata (730).
