The revered Peer Kho Temple on the bank of River Tawi in Jammu is being developed as a major tourist attraction at a cost of Rs 3.50 crore, in a bid to promote Religious Tourism. “Peer Kho Temple is being developed as a major tourist attraction in Jammu. The project is scheduled to be completed by end of the current fiscal,” said Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Jammu and Kashmir while inspecting the temple complex.
Jora directed officials to complete construction work of the upcoming Tourist Reception Centre by February next year, which is being built at a cost of Rs 90 lakh, so that devotees do not face inconvenience on the eve of Maha Shivratri.
