JK govt hopes roadshows in US will help in removal of negative advisories

Minister of State for Tourism Nasir Aslam Wani has also told the state Assembly that the process of removal of advisories has already begun with the government of Germany

Jammu and Kashmir government yesterday expressed hope that its participation in road shows abroad, organised by Union Tourism Ministry, would help in removal of negative travel advisories issued by various countries in Europe and America.

The road shows aim to facilitate better understanding of tourism potential and improved security scenario in the state and help in removal of negative advisories issued by the governments of various countries in Europe and America.

"Realising the importance of these markets for revival of foreign tourist arrivals, state tourism minister led a delegation to attend these road shows," he said, adding, "Government incurred an expenditure of Rs 4.11 lakh at uniform rate on each individual member of the team on travel in economy class, accommodation and other expenses."
