Indian metros are preferred destinations for overseas travellers

Popular Asian destinations such as Bangkok, Singapore and Pattaya continue to appeal to Indians travelling overseas

According to the latest Hotel Price Index (HPI) report by Hotels.com, Indian metros dominate the top 10 favorite Indian destinations list amongst international travellers. The capital city of India, New Delhi bags the number one spot as the most preferred Indian destination for overseas travelers, followed by the metropolitan city of Mumbai. Other popular destinations for travelers include Bengaluru, Chennai and Agra on the 4th, 5th and 7th positions respectively.

Goa, the famous beach and leisure destination of India is the 3rd most favorite destination among foreign travelers while Jaipur, the pink city is on the 6th spot.

The HPI report also reveals that South East Asian destinations dominate the top 10 favorite destinations list amongst Indian travelers while travelling abroad. According to the report, the great value rates available in Bangkok make it the most preferred international destination amongst Indians. Singapore is ranked at number 2 on the list while Pattaya is on 4th spot, Hong Kong on the 5th, Phuket on the 7th spot and Kuala Lumpur on the 9th.
