Indian carriers flew over 13 million pax on intl routes in 2010: DGCA

According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Indian carriers flew a total 13,028,514 passengers to international destinations in 2010, compared to 11,128,096 passengers in 2009, thereby registering a growth of 17.1 per cent.

During this period, the airlines enjoyed a 72.8 per cent load factor. Recently, the Civil Aviation Ministry said that travel of international passengers to and from India to reach 50 million by the year 2015.
