Indian Govt. lifts the Travel requirements to Northeast India

Decision is a part of initiative to increase tourism to the Northeast Indian states.

The Indian government has lifted the travel requirements for foreign nationals who wish to visit Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland. This decision is in line with the initiative to increase tourism to these northeast Indian states.

In the past, foreign tourists needed to pay US$50 to get a permit to enter the said states. Additionally, foreign tourists were only allowed to travel in groups of four over a limited number of days.
