Indian Government advises citizens to avoid travelling to Japan

Air India has also introduced daily flights with enhanced seat capacity to Japan, to assist those who wish to travel back.

Ministry of External affairs (MEA) has cautioned against travelling to Japan & has advised to avoid all non- essential travel to the country in wake of Japan facing a possible nuclear crisis in the aftermath of the Earthquake & Tsunami which happened a week back.

A MEA release has said, "All Indian nationals are reported to be safe and have been advised to take precautions suggested by the Japanese authorities from time to time. For the time being, non- essential travel to Japan may also be avoided."
