India will be showcasing its achievements made in the health sectors at an international exhibition to be held in Kuwait, as it gears to become a preferred destination for medical tourism.
A galaxy of top-notch hospitals and renowned doctors from India would be participating in the exhibition.
An international exhibition and conference titled India Medical Tourism Destination (IMTD), 2011 will be held in Kuwait on November 2-3, it has been announced.
The exhibition, being organised by the Embassy of India in Kuwait in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and Trident Exhibition will be held at the Kuwait International Fair Grounds.
The aim of the exhibition is to make people of Kuwait aware of the advancements made by India in the health and medical sectors.
"India with its rich heritage in the areas of traditional and natural medicine and advancements made in the field of modern medicine and health care techniques, with state of the art infrastructure and technology available in the country, has become a preferred destination for medical value travel," a statement from the embassy said.
India holds significant competitive advantage in healthcare delivery because of many factors, including quality healthcare delivery, clinical out-comes at par with the world''s best centres and competitive costs.
Multiple flight options are also available from Kuwait and other GCC countries to various Indian cities with short journey time, it added.
