The Airports Council International (ACI) announced on February 15 that Korea’s Incheon International Airport was again selected as the “Best Airport Worldwide in Terms of Airport Service Quality (ASQ)” for the sixth year in a row. The ACI is a consultation group consisting of around 1,700 airport operators.

ACI surveyed over 250,000 passengers in 2010. The survey was divided into 34 categories, seven of which address services and 27 on facilities. Incheon International Airport was also recognized as the best among mid-to-large sized airports and best in the Asia-Pacific region. Singapore’s Changi Airport and Hong Kong International Airport came in second and third in the rankings for best airport.

Incheon International Airport has received the ACI award for best airport every year from 2005 to 2010, when it received 4.96 out of 5 possible points. The airport is well-known and highly regarded for its smooth integration high-technology and excellent customer service.

It takes approximately 16 minutes to go through departure procedures and about 12 minutes for entry procedures, far below the average time it takes at other airports worldwide.  Incheon International Airport also provides events and programs for people to experience and learn about Korean culture.
