The first ever INDIA-JAPAN TOURISM EXPO will be held in New Delhi on 21-22 January 2014. It will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Tourism Minister of India, Dr. K. Chiranjeevi, Chief Guest on the occasion. The Commissioner of Japan’s apex tourism body, Japan Tourism Agency, is expected to be the Guest of Honour at the event.

Participants in the Expo will include the Japan Tourism Agency, Japan National Tourism Organization, Japan Airlines, Indian Ministry of Tourism, several tourism departments from State Governments, top travel and tourism companies from Japan and India, Air India and private carriers, top-end hotel groups and umbrella bodies of stakeholders in the travel & tourism sector.

The Expo will almost coincide with the state visit of Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, who will be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day Parade. Japan will be the focus of official and private events in India during the week starting 20th January 2014.
