On 30th August 2012, IATA Agents Association of India (IAAI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Enterprising Travel Agents Association (ETAA), in Mumbai, in the joint meeting of ETAA and IAAI members.
The objective is to work as partners in Indian Travel and Tourism Trade. IAAI was represented by its President Mr. Biji Eapen and ETAA was represented by its President Mr. Karl Dantas.
By virtue of this MOU, IAAI Members will be deemed to be Affiliate Members of ETAA and ETAA members will be deemed to be Affiliate Members of IAAI, without any payment of membership fees. IAAI with its 950 members at present will add up to 1250 with the 300 Affiliated Members from ETAA.
Both IAAI and ETAA shall endeavour to synergize and leverage their combined strength to build a strong and ethical travel organization so that it becomes a voice to reckon with, in the Travel Trade. Both IAAI and ETAA shall ensure fair and equitable representation of all the IATA as well as non-IATA Travel Agents in all forums so that their members derive benefit from all the policies, programs and schemes promoted by Government bodies, Trade Associations, Embassies or Airlines.
