Union minister of state for tourism K Chiranjeevi on Sunday said that the city would host an international conference on tourism in April this year. Around 30 countries are expected to take part in the event aimed at building a global partnership to promote world tourism, he said.
Speaking to reporters, Chiranjeevi said that Hyderabad would host the Conference of United Nation's World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), Regional Commission for South Asia, East Asia and Pacific countries, from April 11 to 14.
"The UNWTO conference will be a good opportunity for the state to showcase its rich heritage and tourism facilities. It will open various opportunities for the development of tourism in AP," Chiranjeevi said.
