Hotel Aditya Park receives 'Certificate of Merit' for Energy Conservation

The hotel won the award from Ministry of Power for its contribution towards saving energy and sustainable conservation at  its property in Hyderabad

Aditya Park – a unit of Manjeera Hotels & Resorts has for the second time received  “Certificate of Merit”  for Energy Conservation during National Energy Conservation Awards 2011  in the hotel sector from Ministry of Power, Government of India. The hotel won the award for its contribution towards saving energy and sustainable conservation at  its property in Hyderabad as per a company release.

Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde, the Honourable Minister for Power, Government of India gave away the ‘Certificate of Merit in Energy Conservation’ to Mr. MadhukarNikam, CEO, Manjeera Hotels & Resorts at a glittering program in New Delhi that was inaugurated by the Mr. Manmohan Singh, the Honourable Prime Minister of India.

Mr. Madhukar Nikam, Chief Executive Officer Manjeera Hotels & Resorts said, “We are extremely delighted to receive this National Energy Conversation Award in the hotel category. It’s our endeavor to strive hard to achieve sustainable development by conserving energy for future. We at Manjeera Hotels have introduced special measure to ensure efficient use of all resources and create green energy. Hotel industry is one of the largest consumer of power and    as responsible corporate we are committed towards saving energy for a better & sustainable future”

Mr. Pankaj Saxena, General Manager – Aditya Park said, “It makes us proud to receive this award . We at Aditya Park take all necessary steps to reduce the consumption of energy. We have instituted a committee know as “Green Team” who are trained to prevent the wastage or excess usage of energy. We have been working towards creating an environmental friendly and energy efficient environment. This award is recognition of our efforts and initiatives in this direction”

Ministry of Power, Government of India initiated the National Energy Conservation Award to various sectors including hotels, hospitals, shopping malls and many more that have taken special efforts to reduce energy consumption while maintaining their production and services. The award that comes under a scheme recognized by the Government of India is aimed to create an environment that would stimulate these establishments in achieving distinction in using energy.
