To tap the growing hospitality business in India, Hilton Worldwide plans to develop 19 hotels in the next five years, of which six will begin operations in 2011, as per a PTI release.
Hilton Worldwide President, Asia-Pacific, Martin Rinck said, "We are currently looking at 19 hotels in India that are in various stages of development and spread across the country in a mix of tier I, II and III cities." These will have approximately 3,000 rooms covering the luxury, full-and focused-service offerings in the next 4-5 years, he added.
