Gujarat tourism department has decided to set up a committee to formulate a heritage tourism policy for development of heritage places. The policy will also focus on promotion of heritage tourism in the state.
Sources in the government said that representatives from Gujarat Heritage Hotels Association (GHHA), apex industry body FICCI and the state tourism department will be members of the committee.
"We are in the process of forming a committee to look into the demands of heritage hoteliers and to form a heritage tourism policy," said a Gujarat tourism official.
