GoAir has announced the addition of four new stations - Patna, Pune, Leh and Lucknow and two new A320 to its growing network. The services on these new stations and new aircraft will start from September 2, 2010 for Patna and for Pune, Lucknow and Leh from October 2, 2010 onwards. This move comes as part of GoAir’s growth strategy and to strengthen its existing network by having more than 1,162 weekly flights connecting 19 stations. GoAir will now serve daily nonstop flight between Delhi and the four new stations.
Adding these routes will give business and leisure travellers’ convenience to quick, safe and timely travel. Air traffic is witnessing huge growth since the past nine-12 months and there is huge demand from smaller cities.
Speaking on the occasion, Kaushik Khona, CEO, GoAir said, “We at GoAir have always tried to reach out to upcoming cities and provide travel convenience. The new routes will especially cater to the unmet needs of the community of traders, entrepreneurs, tourists and industrialists who have been instrumental in bolstering trade and commerce in the region. GoAir is the only Low Cost Carrier (LCC) to cover 19 destinations with ten aircraft with ratio of two cities per aircraft while other LCC have less than one city per aircraft ratio. GoAir will continue to expand its network to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers wherever they demand it. GoAir offers some of the most competitive fares in the industry and with these new routes we have expanded our network effectively to facilitate ease of access to every potential traveller to the cities. Our vision is to provide convenience and better travel facilities to the travellers.”
