GITB 2011 to have only business-to-business (B2B) meetings

Within two days there are 6,800 B2B meetings, the mart is not going to be open to the general public. Rajasthan Tourism Department will promote rural tourism sites at GITB.

The fourth Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) which will be held from April 17-19, at Jaipur is going to follow structured format with pre-fixed business-to-business (B2B) meetings between registered Indian sellers and foreign buyers.

Within two days there are 6,800 B2B meetings and in order to achieve business targets the mart is not going to be open to the general public. To ensure this, passes have been issued strictly and allows only three people per stall.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Tourism department will promote rural tourism sites at GITB this year. "During the three-day GITB, the department will promote rural tourism sites, its eco parks, and sanctuaries, temple towns besides, the traditionally popular places, products, fairs and festivals and luxury trains. We will also highlight our initiative on promotion of adventure-based activities during the meetings," Principal Secretary and Commissioner Department of Tourism Usha Sharma said.
