Four foreign tourists were among six people injured in an avalanche in Gulmarg skiing resort in north Kashmir's Baramulla district yesterday. "An avalanche occurred at Haptkhud trapping seven foreign tourists and three locals," police said.
A helicopter was pressed into service and all of them were rescued, they said. Four foreigners and two guides were injured in the avalanche, police said. “Seven foreign tourists and three local tourist guides were rescued from the avalanche by utilizing the services of Heliski Helicopter as per PTI report.
