Several people, who missed connecting flights from Delhi due to a delay in arrival of incoming flights, were denied a refund by airlines and were forced to book fresh tickets. Not only did passengers lose a lot of money in the process but many of them were forced to look for alternate modes of commuting since later flights were all booked. Airlines justified the move saying that it wasn’t their fault that flights were getting disrupted.

Sources in the civil aviation ministry said that the issue would be looked into.

Meanwhile, information on arrivals took its own time to come to families and friends. Several of them landed up at the airport only to wait for hours and having to shell out huge amounts as parking charges at the new T-3.
