Airlines in India have slashed fares across selected routes including Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, to fill planes ahead of the lean season which will begin at the end of this month. Since the summer vacations in schools which are a major reason for boosting flight ticket sales between April and June, draw to a close, many carriers have been offering special deals to soar over the season of July-August. Today Vistara has announced a 5-day sale, where it is offering flight tickets beginning at a price of Rs 849. Another airline Indigo, for instance, has announced a three-day ‘monsoon’ sale of tickets on discounted rates and the prices start from Rs 899. According to several online travel portal data, GoAir is offering similar fares for its flights on selected routes. Jet Airways, too, had last week announced a sale on tickets prices offering fares at Rs 1,111.

Vistara, an Indian full-service carrier, has launched ‘The Great Monsoon Sale’, and it is offering all-inclusive fares starting at Rs 849 in economy class and Rs 2099 in premium economy. Passengers can book flight tickets under the Sale from June 13, 2017, to the midnight of June 17, 2017. The travel period for the offer is June 28, 2017, to September 20, 2017. Under the IndiGo Monsoon Special Sale, starting from now till June 14, passengers can make bookings at compelling all-inclusive prices starting at Rs 899 on select domestic destinations and vacation getaways. Under the offer, passengers can book their tickets for travel between July 1, 2017, and September 30, 2017.
