Dholera, Gujarat to come up with India's Largest Airport

Spread across 14,500 acres, the Greenfield International Airport will have the capacity of handling 200 Million passengers per year.

The Dholera International Airport is planned to be built in two phases & each phase could cater to 100 Million passengers annually. The work for the airport is scheduled to to start in next 3 years & when completed will be India's Largest Airport much bigger than the New Delhi's T3 terminal. 

Speaking at 2nd National Aviation Economics & Statistics workshop in the capital, DP Singh, GM Airports Authority of India said that they have already conducted a Techno-Economic feasibility study for this project.

As per the current growth trend in the aviation, both the current Ahmedabad & the proposed Navi Mumbai airports are expected to saturate by 2030. The New airport proposed at Dholera would span 14,500 acres with a capacity of 200 Million passengers annualy.
