The Nationalist Congress Party today said the Gharana Wetland Conservation Reserve located on the Indo-Pak border should be developed as a tourist destination as thousands of migratory birds throng to the wetland annually.
"Gharana wetland located on Indo-Pak border in tehsil R S Pura of Jammu district should be developed as a latest tourist destination for bird watchers," said NCP state president and former minister, Thakur Randhir Singh as per PTI.
He said all the wetlands in the state which are visited by various birds from Siberia and other foreign countries, particularly during winter, should be developed as tourist destinations. Singh, who visited the Gharana wetland, also demanded construction of adequate infrastructure in the area.
