Delhi and Uttarakhand sign MoU to develop tourism

Both the tourism boards aiming to enhance tourism potential by developing packages and services and making them more accessible through publicity

Delhi Tourism and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) have signed an MoU to promote tourism between Delhi and Uttarakahnd, a statement said Monday.

According to the statement, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed Aug 10 in Nainital with both the tourism boards aiming to enhance tourism potential by developing packages and services and making them more accessible through publicity.

Agreements such as reservation of hotels, marketing space, package tours, publicity and marketing, participation in each other's tourism fairs and festivals etc. were undertaken in the MoU.

"This will go a long way in facilitating Delhiites seeking information for planning their holidays in Uttarakhand. It will broaden new horizons between both the organizations in terms of creating opportunities and tapping tourism potential of the respective states," said the statement.
