Deccan Shuttles to connect key cities of Gujarat from Aug 20

Connecting the key economic zones of Gujarat from Aug 20, Deccan Charters Ltd, formerly known as Deccan Aviation Ltd, is starting their non-scheduled 12 daily intra-state chartered flight services under the brand name 'Deccan Shuttles'. 

The service aims to connect Ahmedabad, Surat, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar and Kandla through 12 daily flights. The Deccan Shuttle service will be initially be operational in Ahmedabad-Surat-Bhavnagar route, the Ahmedabad-Kandla route will be made operational from August 27 and Ahmedabad-Jamnagar route will be added subsequently.

The services was expected to be operational from May last year. However, following non-clearance of the aircraft by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the services got delayed.

The company did not give out the passenger fare structure though. The service will be available six days a week, Monday to Saturday.

"Through this initiative, Deccan will identify tourist, industrial and other important clusters that are not serviced by airlines and provide customised charter flight services. This service aims at providing improved connectivity to these important industrial hubs in Gujarat, for the value conscious business community, while saving time and enhancing business for them", Deccan Charters said in a statement today.
